Agent Wow Award

News at Kings Group | 20/03/2018

We're very proud to announce that we have been recognised as Agent Wow's Agency of the Month. Our very own Karl Knipe was interviewed by Agent Wow and you can read the discussion and article below.

Since founding in 1991, Kings Group has been providing first-rate and comprehensive Estate and Letting Agency services across London and the South East.

We spoke to Karl Knipe, Director of Kings Group, to learn more about this leading London Estate Agent.

AW: Which locations does Kings Group operate in?

Karl Knipe: We operate in Bethnal Green, Cheshunt, Church Langley, Edmonton, Enfield Highway, Enfield Town, Hackney, Haringey, Harlow, Hertford, North Chingford, South Chingford, Tottenham, Waltham Abbey and Walthamstow.

AW: How long have you been in business?

Karl Knipe: We started in 1991. Just myself, business Partner Thomas Paine and a secretary at the age of 24. Today throughout our businesses, we work with over 220 colleagues.

AW: What are your main activities?

Karl Knipe: Our main activities are Estate Agency, Lettings, Property Management, Financial Services, Conveyancing and Surveying are our main activities. We try to solve “Confusion with Solution” from start to finish…

AW: Who are your main team members?

Karl Knipe: Everyone’s important at Kings Group and Metropolis Surveyors from today’s new starter, to Roydon Weekes who runs our Estate Agency. No-one’s a number at Kings Group.

AW: What are the biggest challenges your agency is faced with?

Karl Knipe: Staffing has always been the biggest challenge any business is faced with. Particularly in a service industry where you are only as good as the people you work with.

AW: What does Kings Group do differently compared to other agents?

Karl Knipe: We have always promoted from within. What does it say to your hardworking ambitious staff if you employ someone from outside the business in a management position? To us, it seems that your business cannot improve, produce, educate and work with individuals to forward their and the business’ development. That’s not the Kings way!

AW: Do you use any innovative/property technology in your business processes/operations?

Karl Knipe: We are always on the lookout for technology that can make a difference hence why we were one of the very first adopters of ValPal. That said, verbal conversation and interaction should always be the crucks of agency.

AW: Do you employ any marketing techniques?

Karl Knipe: We are constantly trying marketing techniques from radio, Facebook advertising to basic leaflet drop blanketing. Today’s media and advertising world requires a mixed and diverse plan.

AW: Are you active on social media?

Karl Knipe: Of course. I think it’s important as a marketing tool for agents not directly but in building rapport with the communities we operate in. Check our Kings Group Easter promotion on our Facebook or Twitter page @KingsGroupLLP. It’s been great seeing the interaction of so many people.

AW: What would you like to see happen/change in the industry or arrive on the proptech scene?

Karl Knipe: I’m not sure really. I suppose ultimately one piece of software that does everything. You can dream lol.
