The Financial Planning Process

The Thomas Oliver service is broken down into a series of stages:

1. No-Obligation consultation

At the initial consultation, Thomas Oliver will provide you with details of the services they can provide and the costs of those services.  You’ll be given information about the company and the way in which they can work with you, so that you can make an informed decision regarding the services you require.

2. Understanding and Analysis

During this stage, Thomas Oliver gather personal and financial information from you.  You’ll discuss your financial goals and plans, and share information regarding your current policies, circumstances and commitments.  Your attitude to investment risk will be assessed.

This information will be used to put together recommendations and advice, including which products would be most suitable for your needs.

The fee for the Understanding and Analysis stage is £1,250 (exempt from VAT).

Please be aware that if you do not decide to move on to the Advice and Implementation stage, the fee for Understanding and Analysis will still apply.

3. Advice and Implementation

Once Thomas Oliver have gathered all the necessary information, they will provide you with tailored financial recommendations in the form of a personal report.  You will then agree the recommendations that you wish to implement.

Thomas Oliver will help you to complete the relevant application(s), and monitor each application through to product issue on your behalf.

Please enquire for full details and conditions of the Advice and Implementation service, and the associated fees.

4. Ongoing service

We aim to build long-lasting trusted business relationships with all of our clients. An essential part of this is to continually review your arrangements. This is to ensure that they continue to match your goals and objectives and remain suitable at any given period throughout your financial planning lifetime.

We can provide you with ongoing support and servicing options to suit your specific needs in areas which you have identified as being important to you.

You can choose what, when and how you pay for that support in a way that meets your needs and preferences.

Depending on your personal requirements, we will discuss the stages of the advice process and confirm when fees become payable. You will sign a fee agreement before any work commences.

If the advice doesn’t proceed to implementation, an element of the fee may become payable.
